Remembering "Kruegs"

Sgt. Amy "Kruegs" Krueger was part of the Madison-based Army Reserve 467th Combat Stress Control Detachment Unit. Tragically, on November 5, 2009, along with 12 other's, Amy lost her life as her and her fellow military members were being processed in Fort Hood, Texas, to deploy to Afghanistan. Just recently on April 10, 2015, Amy and her family received the Purple Heart. Purple Hearts were also awarded to the families of the fallen, as well as the wounded of this tragic event.

Full of life and always wearing that great smile, Amy was a friend to all she met. Kruegs will always be remembered for the way she loved life and the way she served our country.

She gave her life in service to our country. But along the way she gave so much to others.

We remember her by honoring her legacy with "Kruegsfest" and also the phrase, "All gave some, some gave all."
